Duaine and Sheila Hagen brought the Outdoor Dream Foundation to their ranch in 2003. This organization gives terminally ill children the chance to live their dream of hunting animals or in the summer, come to the ranch to ride horses, fish, and enjoy the country lifestyle. The ranch hosts the child and their family, taking them hunting, or on tours around the ranch and surrounding areas and attractions nearby, such as the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody. It is always a joy to meet each child and their families. Their positive attitudes and outlook on life is a very humbling experience. We feel very privileged to be a part of this wonderful program.
Fiddle Back Horses
The ranch has many versatile horses. Duaine has been an experienced horse trainer for many years, putting on clinics for the public, Forest Service, and Game & Fish, to name a few. He has passed his knowledge on to his kids and grandkids, who now help him in the training process and riding to keep the horses in good riding condition. The horses are ready to go move cows, go to a branding, or be used on trail rides. We currently have horses that have been in parades, carry flags at rodeos, can be roped off of and used to barrel race and pole bend.
We have a small herd of Registered Red Angus cattle. We strive to raise high quality beef. This has been a great experience for our children to raise and learn the responsibility of taking care of animals. At certain times of the year we have beef to offer to the public for purchase. Our beef is pasture raised and corn finished to give that great taste to the final product.
Prices do reflect the market price at that time.
